Hello Friends

I miss this part of me, sharing my life with you as I once did. I just can't seem to find time to have a brain left for writing, though. With all of the photography activities and keeping up with my boys, time is minimal for much of anything else.

We've been attending Vacation Bible School this week at our church. I was asked to make my rounds as a Paparazzi throughout the week ;) I like this job. I like it very much! Not only do I get to capture the best of moments, but I also am able to listen in on the lessons and take part in the fun.

It's funny how some are really shy to the camera and others are ready for me at every turn. I have one little girl that tries to hide whenever I'm around, even though I tell her that I won't sneak a picture. I have another that I try to hide from, who may just be looking for me when I'm not around - ready to perform.

My boys have been pooped out when we get home each day, which really makes me smile. We went to the library earlier this week and grabbed some books. That's what they've been doing in the afternoons, reading. It's nice and unusual for these energetic boys of mine. We come home, the house is quiet and I'm liking it. I wish they'd realize that I need this during the school year, after coming home from the afternoon bus ride.

I love this picture that I captured of my older two! It made me smile as I processed it later, seeing the genuine smiles but still....they both have their hands clenched a bit on the other's shoulder.

I've been using my external flash this week, gearing up and working those skills for the few low light, indoor, weddings I have coming up on me. I am normally a natural light photographer, so getting reacquainted with this flash was irritating to me on Monday morning....then, on Tuesday, I entered into the scene, a fresh bunch of batteries - only to find that the flash can truly be my friend after all ;)

It doesn't take much to please me.

FYI - I am posting, daily, on the Heather T Imagery Facebook page. You could become a fan over there and visit with me...much more often. I'd like to see you there :)

  2. Lovely moments. I've been noticing lately how much your boys are changing from children into young men. It's interesting to watch,

  3. We are having Bible School late this summer. Thanks for sharing the picture of your snack plate. I too, hope to prepare the healthy, lovely and delicious foods for our youngsters.
